Having a baby in the house again proved a joy - and a challenge. It had been nearly thirty years since his Mom was born. Which meant we were nearly thirty years older! Modern babies just flat seem to take over a home. It takes so much STUFF for them. This presented another problem. We were still making big house payments, plus all the other bills, which increased when we brought Liz back home. Plus Grandpa had been on sick leave from work for a while in the months before Bryce's birth. I didn't talk about it much, but I was heartsick that we were only able to provide the bare necessities for our new grandson. When several of his Great Aunts came up from Georgia bearing many gifts, tiny outfits, blankets, toys, they were an answer to prayer.
